Samuel Abrahams’s acclaimed mockumentary Lady comes home this October

MetFilm Distribution are proud to announce that the critically acclaimed Lady will be available on digital from 5th October.

The feature debut from Samuel Abrahams, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Miranda Campbell Bowling, Lady stars Sian Clifford (Fleabag) as Lady Isabella, alongside Juliet Cowan (Back to Black), Laurie Kynaston (Derry Girls, The Sandman) and Olisa Odele (Big Boys, It’s a Sin).

Lady is an off-beat comedy about a lonely, narcissistic aristocrat who dupes a struggling, opportunistic director into filming her every move. But her obsession with the spotlight takes a surreal turn when she starts becoming… invisible. Blending mockumentary and magical realism, Lady satirises our desperate need to feel seen.

The release follows the film’s acclaimed theatrical run in UK cinemas, where it landed a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It received a four-star review from The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw, who called it “like Saltburn on shrooms”, praising its “laughs and unexpected tenderness”. Screen Daily hailed star Sian Clifford’s “memorable central performance” in what it called director Samuel Abrahams’ “impressive debut”, while The Upcoming named Lady “one of the best British debut features of the year”.
