The historic Obinata fireworks factory was once surrounded by lush forest. Now solar panels cover the landscape, a new road is approaching, and the abandoned buildings are scheduled for demolition. Keitaro has spent years living alone inside the factory, determined to recreate the Shuhari—a mythical firework said to represent the universe, conceived by his father before he vanished without explanation.

With the authorities preparing to seize the property, Keitaro’s brother Sentaro and their childhood friend Kaoru return. Together, the three young people confront their divided memories, the pressures of progress and the legacy left behind by the previous generation. Their final attempt to launch the Shuhari becomes a race against time—and a luminous act of resistance, reconciliation and hope.
