Booyakasha! London was taken over today by the West Staines Massiv as the iconic Ali G led 300 fans, all dressed in his famous stylish attire, on a tour of the city ahead of the release of ALI G: WHO IZ I? from Amazon MGM Studios. The film is in cinemas for one weekend only on October 23.

Travelling aboard four double decker buses, Ali G and his host of lookalikes took in some of the capital’s most recognisable landmarks as Londoners and tourists from around the world alike stopped to film, follow and join the chaos.
Ali G and his lookalikes took to the Thames for a boat party, posed for photos outside Big Ben and gathered in front of Marble Arch. They then descended on central London, travelling en masse from Covent Garden to Leicester Square, where they placed orders for hundreds of burgers at McDonald’s.
The anarchy ended at Cineworld Leicester Square, where Ali crowned the winner of the Ali G Lookalike Competition. A huge group photo of all 300 Ali G lookalikes, with Ali G himself front and centre, capped off the day.
Commenting on the day, Ali G said: “Me iz well proud to have staged de biggest event in London since de Paris Olympics 3 years ago – de bloke who counts Donald Trumps crowds said dere woz over 800,000 Ali Gs on de streets! Dis haz gone so well me iz gonna make it an annual event every five years and best of all it went wivout trouble and it woz a massive boost to de London economy – in fact TK Maxx on Oxford Street had its busiest day in a decade wiv over 300K worf of goods shoplifted.
