Plaion Pictures is pleased to confirm that Christmas & Chaos will be available on all major digital platforms from 9th November.
In Christmas & Chaos, a once-chart-topping pop princess, now desperate for a comeback hit, gets snowed in, in rural Wales with a brooding local musician who swore he’d never sell out. She needs a hit, he needs a reason to risk it, and a high-stakes chance to impress a legendary theatre director throws them into the same room. Clashing egos, late-night writing sessions, and one very public deadline turn creative warfare into undeniable chemistry. Big laughs, messy emotions, and a swoony slow burn. Christmas & Chaos remixes rivalry into romance and proves the best holiday hit might be the one they never saw coming.
Charlotte Kirk (Duchess, The Reckoning) and Ben McGregor (Fresh Meat, It’s Christmas!) lead this warm-hearted British romantic comedy as two mismatched musicians thrown together for the most chaotic Christmas of their lives, with Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, The White Lotus) also starring.
Written and directed by Jamie Adams, the filmmaker behind festive favourites A Wonderful Christmas Time and It’s Christmas!, the film is a love letter to the fun, romance and unpredictability of the holiday season.
Speaking on the festive release, Charlotte Kirk said “We’re incredibly excited for audiences to finally experience Christmas & Chaos. From the beginning, we wanted to create a festive film that captures all the fun, romance and unpredictability of Christmas, while still having real heart at its core. This film was made with so much love by an amazing cast and crew, and we hope audiences can laugh, escape and embrace a little Christmas chaos with us. We’re thrilled to finally be sharing it this holiday season.” Reflecting on the use of improv in the filmmaking process, Kirk added “What makes Christmas & Chaos particularly unique is that the entire film was improvised, with the actors creating their dialogue organically throughout filming. This unconventional approach brought an authenticity, spontaneity, and of course, chaos to the story, capturing genuine chemistry and unexpected moments that could never have been scripted.”
Christmas & Chaos will be available in the UK on Digital Download from 9th November
