More posters that look familiar

Way back in 2012, the first post I ever wrote was about posters looking similar.

A couple of days ago we had two posters arrive for two completely different films. That being the latest part in the Transformers franchise. The other was for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk

See what I mean?  They even could be companion pieces.  In a way they are both about war and a seemingly, unwinnable, situation.

Even the composition, if you ignore the obvious figure in the middle.  He’s standing on a mound of destruction.  Be that the detritus of war or the destruction because of conflict.

The two posters, unlike the ones that started this blog and inspired this second post, do strangely fit together as one.  They are different sizes, that what explains the strange top of the multi poster

Two species at war – one flesh, one metal.

Transformers: The Last Knight is in UK cinemas Summer 2017

“Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
