The colours of posters

A disturbing trend is creeping into posters.  This has happened over the last couple of years.  That is the use of Orange and Blue in posters.

I have dug through the archives of this blog. Going through the files I have found quite a number of posters using this combination. I thought it was just going to be an action film cliché.  I have been proved wrong with this poster:

Justin Bieber Never Say Never poster

Yes that is a poster for a film with Justin Bieber in it. It was one of the long line of tweenie movies. This followed the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana. The only difference is that the “plot” that fills the gaps between musical numbers.

Now back to the original idea of this post. The mix of two colours in posters. The next example has to be one of the most blatant. That of The Expendables 2.

The Expendables 2 Comic-Con Poster

I would go on and on and on about this but what I will do is just leave you with a selection of posters that use this hideous combination.  All have been sent to me over the last couple of years…
