Central City Media is proud to announce that its British comedy film, The Broken Arrow, will be released in UK cinemas from 13th November, ahead of the exciting 2026 World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in December.
The Broken Arrow features a cast including Sue Johnston (Ann Droid), Alan Ford (Snatch), Ste Johnston (No Offence) and Chris Simmons (The Bill). The film is co-directed by Pablo Raybould (The Last Twitch) alongside Chris Simmons, who makes his directorial debut.
After his mentor’s death sends local darts champion Barry Barnes into a spiral of booze and self-destruction, a drunken accident costs him an arm. Now Barry must face his demons and take on his arch-rival, “Darts Vader,” for one last shot at glory.
Since its debut, The Broken Arrow has made a real impression on the festival circuit. The film was selected as the Gala Opening Title at the 2024 Southend Film Festival and has continued to gather recognition since receiving Best Director nominations for Chris Simmons and Pablo Raybould at the 2025 Romford Film Festival.
Called “a sparkling new comedy” by the Southend Film Festival Director Paul Cotgrove, this warm-hearted British comedy, in the spirit of The Full Monty, arrives at a moment when darts has never been more culturally relevant.
