Thursday, the stars of Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F took to the red carpet at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.
Eddie Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kevin Bacon, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Bronson Pinchot and Paul Reiser, along with director Mark Molloy and producer Jerry Bruckheimer attended the World Premiere of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
Ahead of the red carpet, the filmmakers and cast of Beverly Hills Cop were presented with a proclamation from the Beverly Hills City Council that June 20, 2024 will be known as Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F Day.
Reprising his role as the iconic Axel F, star Eddie Murphy said “If you’ve never seen the other Beverly Hills Cops, this movie works. It’s a good movie, solidly written, and everybody is amazing in it. It’s really funny, very well directed, and produced by the amazing Jerry Bruckheimer. I’m feeling great”
On his directorial debut, director Mark Molloy said “It was an absolute dream come true…I first saw it, and I was like Beverly Hills Cop, what’s it going to be, and to be honest I started reading and I was in. The chance to bring back the iconic franchise is just incredible”
