The Premiere Must Go On! Socially distanced stars turn up for 7 HOURS ON EARTH

Students and teachers from a South London School recently gathered at The Streatham Space Project to attend a curfewed Premiere for their independent film – 7 HOURS ON EARTH. The Premiere was host to some of Britain’s youngest and finest upcoming talent, including: Harry Jardine, Rufiat Awolope, Gus Flind-Henry, Shanaya Henry and Adam Seridji.

This exuberant indie film is brought to you by the talented pupils and ex-pupils of Tooting’s Graveney School, who created an out of this world SciFi romance inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream which recently featured in The Guardian – The Aliens have Landed.

At 6:30pm and 8:45pm, attendees celebrated in a socially distanced style 2 metres apart, with bow ties and silk dresses matching with their masks. No drinks in the bar, no kissing and hugging, spaced-out cinema seats – but plenty of cheering and applause as the Film Premiere went ahead!

7 HOURS ON EARTH is a modern-day comedy of errors that sees extra-terrestrial visitors download into a London School and cause well-meaning havoc with the love-lives of sixth-formers. The cast features some of the UK’s most promising young actors, including Ramona Marquez Harry Jardine, Karl Queensborough, and features icons of British TV with Martin Marquez.

Director Patricia Sharpe said ‘The atmosphere in the cinema was surreal – drinks were served at seats and everyone was masked and spaced out. It was part Shakespearean masked ball part thrilling horror film’.
