Vertigo Releasing is delighted to announce that their upcoming MMA thriller Beast, will be released across all major digital platforms from 1st June.
Directed by Tyler Atkins (Bosch, Rockit), Beast stars Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind), Daniel MacPherson (Foundation, Land of Bad) & Luke Hemsworth (The Witcher, WestWorld). Other stars of the film include Bren Foster, George Burgess, Mojean Aria, Kelly Gale, Amy Shark and Saphira Moran. The film was co-written by David Frigerio (Land of Bad) & Russell Crowe, marking Crowe’s second writing credit, following Poker Face in 2022.
Beast follows ex-con Patton James, who abandoned his mixed martial arts dream to support his wife, Luciana, and daughter. When Patton’s brother Malon suffers a serious injury in a fi ght to make good on his debts, Patton has to risk everything to get back in the ring to avenge him. But to reclaim his old glory and succeed in the ONE Championship, Patton must regain the trust of his ace trainer and keep his own family together.
