Alien Addiction is the sort of film that New Zealand do very well. Silly alien based films for a next to nothing budget. The country has a long history of making this sort of film. Starting with the early forays into film by Peter Jackson with Bad Taste. This one just takes the feel of that sort of film & removes the horror with “a pot smoking yokel”.
It does have the feel that it could, over time, become a cult classic like early Peter Jackson films have become.

Alien Addiction follows Riko who lives in a small town in the middle of nowhere (Waikato, New Zealand). Life was pretty normal until two aliens crash landed near Riko’s house. He welcomes the aliens and together they develop an intergalactic relationship of epic proportions. Alientologist Peter Mackintosh has tracked the aliens and Riko, and plans to capture them and reveal them to the world.
