We have already seen posters and a trailer for the upcoming biblical epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings.
This time we have been sent the first set of images to go with the film. They are good but I have already spotted one error in the film. Some of the horse riders have stirrups. Something that wasn’t invented, in the form seen in the image, until well into the 1st century AD. not only that several thousand miles away in China!
Apart from that little niggle that I have to assume other people have noticed, the images do make the film look like it has come from the same school as Cecil B DeMills. It comes across as an epic in the same way that Cleopatra did. I do feel that it may make as much money as that film as well 🙁 It’s all down to release dates. Boxing day. Not a good day to get people into the cinema but great for the following year’s award season.
From acclaimed director Ridley Scott comes the epic adventure EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS, the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.
Journeying into UK cinemas from December 26, 2014
