Do the new Interstellar posters tell a story?

Two amazing sets of information hit my in-box earlier today. The first was a new set of posters for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. The second was the first set of images.

It seems that the four new posters actually tell the story of what’s going to happen in the film. If you have seen the second trailer you will know what I mean. If you haven’t then I’ll give it a go to help.

The film seems to start on Earth with strange things happening in the sky.

After we discover that these events are going to be catastrophic, humanity decides to act. They act in building a space ship to try and find a new home. On the way it seems that we have discovered a wormhole that can transport us across the universe to find a new home

It seems that we have discovered a planet that can support water. It seems we discover that fact by crashing into it!

Now we have discovered that there is land as well. We did have to find the only bit of the planet that is like England. Miserable!

From then on, I’m sure, things will go down hill. It’ll either turn into a monster or a psychological horror type where everyone starts attaching each other. I’m going to go for the former than the latter.

The other thing that we have received is the first set of official images for the film. They seem not to be as narrative based as the posters seem to be. It’s just the normal sort of a mix of single character, a group and the director doing something. This time the director is posing in front of one of the IMAX cameras the they have used in some sequences to enhance the experience of the viewer

With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
