Metropolis on the big screen

One of the greatest films of the 20th century is coming to the Regent Street Cinema.  That being Metropolis, the 1936 Fritz Lang classic.

You can see it for one night only, as it was originally seen, with live accompaniment on the cinema’s 1936 Compton Cinema Organ.

In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city’s mastermind falls in love with a working class prophet who predicts the coming of a saviour to mediate their differences.

The film will be accompanied by a live soundtrack, performed by Organist David Gray on the cinema’s 1936 Compton Cinema Organ.
