Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment is excited to announce that World War One survival epic, Landship, will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and all major digital platforms from 10th August.
The latest film from the producers of smash hits Lancaster Skies and Battle Over Britain, it brings to life a true story from 1917’s Battle of Passchendaele with incredible action and historical detail.
The Blu-ray and DVD also boast added extras including a feature-length audio commentary track with director Callum Burn, producer Andrew Burn, and actors Vin Hawke and David Dobson, plus a 26-minute Q&A with the cast and crew as they deep dive into the intense journey behind the making of Landship.
For three years the Great War has been waging, and two armies find themselves entrenched along the four-hundred-mile Western Front. At the start of a pivotal allied offensive to break the stalemate, the nine-man crew of a British MKIV Tank set out to destroy a series of heavily defended German bunkers.
Advancing across no-man’s-land under intense enemy fire, all seems lost when the tank becomes trapped in a giant shell crater, within only a few yards of enemy lines. However, determined not to perish amongst the fetid mud and poison smog of the battlefield, the soldiers refuse to resign themselves to their fate. Instead, the men rally together to fight for survival against starvation, shellshock, and relentless gunfire.
