Have you been blown away with the new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar? If not, why not? It’s even more epic than the last trailer. The trailer was launched last weekend at Comic Con but has just been, officially, released on youTube early yesterday.
Two images from the film stuck in my mind. Not the ones that we seen our brave astronauts running around with their helmets open but a couple of very geeky ones.
The first mimics a famous NASA, and re-created in the film Apollo 13. The separation of the “Instrumentation Ring”. The rocket that gets our explorers into space does seem to look like a glorified Saturn V rocket. Their actual space ship that will get them to, and through, the wormhole might have been constructed in space but that’s not mentioned. I only say that as the countdown and launch sequence is also reminiscent of the Apollo launch sequences.
The second is just a nice shot of one of our heroes looking a bit concerned during take off.
If the film is even half as epic as this trailer we are in for a heck of a ride. Even if the story is a bit lame. The effects will completely blow you away.
Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
