Double trouble in London

double trouble
Londoners were left puzzled as two peculiar looking children took to the Underground and popped up at commuter and tourist hotspots across the capital today.

Acting in a particularly peculiar fashion, the figures were soon recognised as being the curious characters from the highly anticipated new Tim Burton film MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, released in cinemas this Thursday.

Many confused and bewildered members of the public took to social media after seeing the twins playfully squabbling over a teddy bear, Oyster cards and even engaging in a very Victorian kickabout in front of Buckingham Palace.

The sightings, at Finsbury Park tube station, Buckingham Palace and Hamley’s Toy Store, were later revealed to be an elaborate stunt to promote the film, which stars Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd, Ella Purnell and Samuel L. Jackson.

The costumes worn by the six year-old actors were the actual robes and masks featured in the film.

From visionary director Tim Burton, MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN is based upon the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs and is an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Floating into UK cinemas in both 3D & 2D from September 30, 2016.
