A Year in London is hitting UK cinemas this July

LonRom Film Production is delighted to announce that A Year in London, from award-winning director Flaminia Graziadei, will be released in UK & Irish cinemas from 17th July.

Starring Melanie Liburd, who won Best Actress at the California Women Film Festival, and Italian talent Nina Pons, the LGBTQ+ romance journey recounts a year in London, exploring passion, identity, and sustainable fashion. The film was featured at the 41st Lovers Film Festival in Turin, Italy, with a special panel presentation on 19th April.

A sheltered Italian fashion student in London for the first time forms a intense, intimate bond with her brilliant mentor after they survive a violent robbery—forcing them to choose between ambition, boundaries, and the love they’re afraid to name.

Shot across Basilicata, Rome and London, the film creates a striking visual dialogue between Southern Italy and the UK capital. A Year in London stars Melanie Liburd (This is Us, The Idol, Bad Boys 4), Nina Pons (Baby, Circeo, Vita da Carlo), Carlotta Morelli (Forever First Love, Karen Pirie) and Matteo Bassi (Chlorophyll).

Award-winning director Flaminia Graziadei describes A Year in London as a deeply personal project, bringing together “different phases of my life along with those of the people I have met over the years.” At its core is a love story between two women from contrasting backgrounds. The film reflects a commitment to inclusivity and sustainability within the fashion industry, with specially created and adapted collections woven into the narrative.

Balancing authenticity with universal relatability, Flaminia Graziadei looks forward to sharing A Year in London with UK audiences, bringing to life “my characters speaking, loving, moving, against the backdrop of the evocative and beautiful locations we have chosen.
