Into the Twister

into the storm bannerTwo, well 3 actually, new items for Into The Storm, AKA Twister 2 hit my in-box late yesterday.

First was a banner, then the poster and third was the new trailer.

The film is getting more and more fun. It’s got it all, explosions, children in peril with a father trying to find his son/daughter. Trying to evacuate the town whilst tornadoes become columns of flame [not sure about the science behind that one]. What could possibly go wrong with the evacuation. The trailer gives it away. It doesn’t seem to end well 🙁 You can make up your own mind by clicking play on the trailer below…

The two other things are images. Both are posters, of sorts. One is the new poster and the other is described as a banner.

The banner, for me, is the better one. They have managed to stay away, form the most part, of the classic blue/orange motif. It’s from the point of view of the storm chasers’ vehicle and gives a wide panorama of the destruction.

into the storm posterThe poster, on the other hand, is a mismatch of action shots. Then randomly inserted onto a background of CGI tornadoes causing chaos in blue & orange.

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, “Into the Storm” throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

Destroying UK cinemas from August 22, 2014
