STUDIOCANAL today launch the main trailer for Marjane Satrapi’s RADIOACTIVE and confirm the UK Premiere, which will take place Sunday 8 March at The Curzon Mayfair followed by a Q&A with star Rosamund Pike & director Marjane Satrapi. Celebrating the pioneering work of Marie Curie, the event will take place on International Women’s Day with the Q&A broadcast into cinemas nationwide.
From the 1870s to the modern era, RADIOACTIVE is a journey through Marie Curie’s enduring legacies – her passionate relationships, scientific breakthroughs, and the consequences that followed for her and for the world. After meeting fellow scientist Pierre Curie, the pair go on to marry and change the face of science forever by their discovery of radioactivity. The genius of the Curies’ world-changing discoveries and the ensuing Nobel Prize propels the devoted couple into the international limelight.
The film stars BAFTA and Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike, Sam Riley, Aneurin Barnard, Anya Taylor-Joy & Simon Russell Beale and is directed by Academy Award nominated Marjane Satrapi.
