Medusa Deluxe, the debut feature length film from British director Thomas Hardiman, will receive its World Premiere on the Piazza Grande at the 75th Locarno Film Festival on 6th August 2022.

Written and directed by Hardiman, the film features Clare Perkins (Family Affairs, Eastenders), Anita-Joy Uwajeh (King Lear), Kae Alexander (Bad Education, Games of Thrones), Harriet Webb (I May Destroy You), Darrell D’Silva (Top Boy) and Luke Pasqualino (Skins, The Musketeers). Department heads include cinematographer Robbie Ryan (The Favourite, American Honey, I, Daniel Blake), renowned hair stylist Eugene Souleiman and casting director Gary Davy (Hunger, Britannia, The Tourist, Small Axe).

The company’s recent credits include Terence Davies’ Benediction, and Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series. The film was developed and financed by the BFI, awarding National Lottery Funding, and BBC Film, and financed in association with Time Based Arts. Executive Producers are Eva Yates for BBC Film, Lizzie Francke for BFI, and Jim Mooney & Walli Ullah for EMU.
