Aspiring cellist Maddie is whale obsessed. Trish, a future scientist, hustles as an influencer. Tragedy strikes when their friend Chad is killed protecting Maddie during a robbery, leaving her with permanent hearing loss. A year later, Trish takes Maddie to Thailand, hoping to help her find closure—and to visit Ceto, an orca held in captivity. With their friend Josh, they sneak in to see Ceto. The next day, they swim in a secluded lagoon, unaware the angry orca has been secretly released. Suddenly, they’re being hunted. Survival feels impossible.
