HOMELESS ASHES tells the story of Frankie, a young boy who runs away from an abusive home and grows up trying to survive on the streets. After fleeing from his parents Stuart and Abbieela, he falls-in with junkies including Viv and Ryan, makes honest friends in Gavin and Chico, and is reunited with childhood friend Nicole. But living on the streets is tough and not everyone survives. Andrew Lee-Potts. Hollyoaks favourite Fabrizio Santino, and US actress and singer Maria Howell also star.
Homeless Ashes is written by George Wilcox, produced by David Freedman, James Fuller and Craig Hinde. The film is directed and produced by Marc Zammit. The director of photography is Richard Oakes, and the composer is Mark Wind.
The film is the proud winner of five awards at the Overcome Film Festival including, Best International Feature Film, Best Actor (Marc Zammit), Best Actress (Angela Dixon), Best Supporting Actor (Jason Flemyng) and Best Supporting Actress (Maria Howell). The film also won Best Feature Screenplay at Southampton International Film Festival, Best International Actor (Marc Zammit) at Glendale International Film Festival, and Best Cinematographer (Richard Oakes) and Best Composer (Mark Wind) at the Pitch to Screen Film Festival.
