The new trailer for Fury hit the internet yesterday. It’s a mix of the drama and the violence that the film shows. From one of the worst chat up lines in cinema history to tank battles.
It reminds me, in part, of a 2009 Israeli film called Lebanon. That film is also about a tank crew but the entirety of the film is just set inside the tank. Fury, on the other hand, does have the same feel of the crew but it is set outside the tank as well.
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
