A brand new clip from OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH has been releasedtoday, ahead of the film’s Global Cinema Event from 8 May – coinciding with Attenborough’s99th birthday.

The clip features Attenborough as hereminisces on his first scuba dive over a coral reef – the colours, themovement, and the huge variety of life. The filming for this scene shows reefsin greater detail than ever, including incredible new timelapse footage offeeding corals. This cinematic clip is one of many filming firsts from thehighly anticipated documentary feature, with audiences worldwide set toexperience the ocean on the big screen as never seen before.

The Global Cinema Event invites audiences in the UK, Ireland and 25 additional countries worldwide to cometogether to experience Attenborough’s untold story of the ocean on the bigscreen.

Following the film, exclusively in cinemas, A DEEPER DIVE WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH takes audiences behind the scenes with additional footage andinterviews on the making of the film.

OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH takes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital forour survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean.

In the film the celebrated broadcaster and filmmaker reveals how his lifetime hascoincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coralreefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why a healthy oceankeeps the entire planet stable and flourishing.

Stunning, immersive cinematography showcases the wonder of life under the seas andexposes the realities and challenges facing our ocean as never-before-seen,from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching. The film’s World Premiere will takeplace at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, London, on Tuesday 6 May. Thehigh-profile premiere event, sponsored by UBS and People’s Postcode Lottery,will comprise of two special and exclusive screenings; a daytime FutureGenerations’ Premiere for students, teachers and school staff, and an eveningWorld Premiere for special guests and dignitaries.
