Rory Kinnear & Emily Beecham star in rural drama The Old Man and The Land

Reason8 is excited to announce that their rural drama The Old Man and the Land will be coming to UK cinemas from 20th September.

The film celebrated its World Premiere at the Tallin 27th Black Nights Film Festival as part of their Critics’ Picks Competition where it received critical acclaim including DMovies calling the story building “nothing less than masterful”.

In this powerful debut from Director Nicholas Parish the film’s cast is made up of British acting legends Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) and Emily Beecham (Hail, Ceaser!) alongside real life farmer Roger Marten.

As an old farmer’s strength fades, who will inherit the land he loves? His daughter knows farming but lacks sacrifice, while his son sees only property value. As they bicker, will the farmer’s lifelong devotion to the land be lost, or will someone rise to continue his legacy?
