The Robot Overlords are coming

Milo Parker faces a Sentry in Robot Overlords
February sees the release of, what is described as a “home grown homage to the action adventure films of the 80s”. That being Robot Overlords.

All we have, currently, been sent is some images but that should change later on this week with the release of the trailer and poster. Without the trailer, it’s hard to say what the film will be like but the cast is good and the images show that it’s going to be a fun ride.

So, to keep you interested before the release of the trailer and poster, I give you the images that we have been sent.

Every time I read about Robot Overlords, I tend to think about Bender from Futurama trying to take over the world with his robotic army of followers! This seems to be the same but without Bender.

The adults lost the war and now the kids must save the world! Robots rule the streets and the people are locked in their homes. Stepping outside risks being vaporised by a hulking Sentry or picked off by a lethal Sniper.

Through the ruins of Britain a group of kids, led by Callan McAuliffe, set out to join the Resistance. Hot on their heels however is their old teacher turned robot collaborator Mr Smythe, played by Ben Kingsley and his captive Gillian Anderson.
