The final poster for the upcoming The Imitation Game has hit. It’s nice and it has, as expected, the most glowing quotes that have been released after it’s triumph at the London Film Festival.
I would describe it as a version of two previously released posters photoshopped together. Unlike most people, they probably won’t see all the different posters that are released fro a film. This is probably going to be the first one they see.
The two posters, I mentioned are the first one that we saw released and the “Benedict Cumberbatch character poster”.
I have noticed that the piece of the Bombe shown is at the top of the machine. Comparing that to the original poster, it does seem that Benedict is standing about four feet in the air to get his head at that level. Either that or they found a nice space with the rotors and put a larger version of the character poster on it without thinking that someone would notice something as sad as that. They were wrong; this is the internet.
THE IMITATION GAME is a nail-biting race against time following Alan Turing (pioneer of modern-day computing and credited with cracking the German Enigma code) and his brilliant team at Britain’s top-secret code-breaking centre, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II. Turing, whose contributions and genius significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British establishment, but his work and legacy live on.
