Universal has just released an amazing featurette from First Man. This one talks about the strange fact that this is the first film about the man who first walked on a different celestial body. Well, more it’s the first drama about that amazing mission and unassuming man. There has been documentaries about the mission before but not a dramatic retelling of the story.
Interspersed with interviews from the stars and the director it’s a nice look on what to expect from the film. One I will be going to see at the cinema as this era of space exploration is my favourite. THe film does cover the sad side of the ques to the moon. Apollo 11 is seen in the featurette as well as nearly being killed aboard Gemini 8.
The riveting story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost—on Armstrong and on the nation—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
