  • Ritesh Batra (The Lunchbox) to direct Nick Payne’s adaptation of Julian Barnes’ Man Booker Prize winner, The Sense of An Ending
  • Rafe Spall confirmed in Phillipa Lowthorpe’s Swallows and Amazons
  • Armando Iannucci back in business with BBC Films
  • Sophie Fiennes to make innovative and intimate feature documentary on Grace Jones
  • David LaChapelle to choreograph a documentary on Sergei Polunin
  • Colin Firth to star in James Marsh’s follow up to The Theory of Everything
  • Two new schemes announced to support the rising stars of the industry, and a week of BBC Films on BBC TWO in May
