With England leaving the World Cup in the worst way since the 50s, you need cheering up. The Unbeatables could be the film for you.
A film with a great cast as well done in a really cute animation style. It will make even the most cynical of people laugh. I know this as I laughed a couple of times whilst watching it!
One of the funniest bit is at the start. A wonderful parody of an iconic scene in an iconic 60s movie – including the music and fade intot the next scene. I’m not going to spoil it but if you’re not the youngest person out there you will, at least, giggle at it. There are another couple of sight gags as well as some great one-lines in the trailer. Just click play and find out for yourself…
The film is Argentinian in origin but don’t hold that against it! The British voice cast is incredible. From Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint to Buffy’s Anthony Head.
We have also been sent over a set of images for the film. Not being a fan of Football leaves me at a disadvantages as I’m sure that some of the table football players are based on real footballers. I asked some colleagues in the office and they think I am correct but couldn’t name them. They suggested some but I didn’t write them down at the time 🙁
If you know who they are then please let me know in the comments below.
A poignant story about love, pride, friendship and passion, The Unbeatables follows the adventures of Amadeo, a shy but talented young man and his Table Football team, who magically come to life as they try to reunite after being dismantled and torn from their home. However, they soon find themselves up against their biggest obstacle – deifying the most famous football player in the World, Flash.
