It’s been a busy week for trailer. First we had Guardians of the Galaxy, then the final one for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes rounded up with one for a great animated feature, The Unbeatables.
They are all good but the things they were missing what we see in spades in the latest trailer for The Expendables 3. Explosions and elderly action heroes limping through the action sequences. Not only that, we get the expected silliness. That could be the bickering between the team or a clichéd wise-crack aimed at their opponents.
I was originally worried that the film would be more of a drama than action. This last trailer dispels any lingering worries. From the first explosion onwards I now know it’ll be as stupid and funny as the last two films in the series.
Not only do we get the new trailer, you can also see some new images from the film as well.
In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney, Christmas and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables – but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
Exploding into UK cinemas August 14, 2014
