We have already seen posters, a trailer and some images for Ridley Scott’s biblical epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings.
This time we have been sent a nice little featurette. Ridley talks about the world that he has created. From sets to crowds, he does talk in epic terms. 4,000 extras in some scenes. These are then copy & pasted into bigger scenes to make 20,000.
The sets are as “big as we can get them”. These enormous sets are then added to via CGI effects to make them even bigger.
I’m not holdign out for great box office. I maybe wrong as the Southern States of America tends to love their bible. I’m just concerned with the release date. Between Christmas and New Year. A graveyard area for films but a great one if you’re aiming for the award season.
From acclaimed director Ridley Scott comes the epic adventure EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS, the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Rhamses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.
