Earlier this morning, stars of GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY, Kate Hudson and Janelle Monáe, alongside writer/director Rian Johnson and producer Ram Bergman, officially opened an interactive pop-up installation inspired by the film, in London’s King Cross.
Over the next week (December 17th – 23rd), at London’s Kings Cross Station, budding Benoit Blanc’s will be able to put their puzzle solving skills to the test at Netflix’s mysterious Greek villa pop-up, inspired by the release of the hotly anticipated whodunnit GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY on Netflix globally from 23rd December.
Writer/director Rian Johnson’s follow up to the smash-hit Knives Out, GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY releasing next Friday, just in time for the holidays. The all-star cast includes Daniel Craig, reprising his role as the aforementioned world-renowned detective Benoit Blanc, alongside Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
Between December 17th and December 23rd, aspiring sleuths able to solve the pop-up’s puzzles will be gifted a limited-edition giant festive cracker (while stocks last), featuring the props and required paraphernalia to play a unique Knives Out inspired murder mystery game called “Death and the Dove”, created especially by BBH to celebrate the film’s release.
The pop-up villa, modelled on tech billionaire Miles Bron’s (played by Edward Norton) Greek island abode in the movie, will bring a touch of Aegean glamour to one of the UK’s biggest and busiest transport hubs outside London’s Kings Cross station.
The villa has four individual sides for passers-by to interact with and enjoy, including an art gallery, puzzle area, bar / giveaway area, and a chance to snap a selfie with the GLASS ONION cast by the pool in a unique photo moment. True to the film, all is not quite as it seems, and there is an exclusive ‘secret’ afoot at the pop-up for fans who can successfully complete the sliding wall puzzle to unlock this special experience.
