About Light and Shadows

This is a film about the secrets of the universe, the limits of scientific knowledge and the philosophical vision of the Korean spiritual master Master Oh. The story of two disciplines, physics and metaphysics, which run parallel to each other without ever needing to cross paths, but between which, nevertheless, there are sometimes astonishing coincidences. Filmed in six countries: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, England, the Netherlands and Spain, this documentary is called, symbolically, About Light and Shadow, in an allusion to what we know and what we do not know, what we can see and what we cannot see, the material realm and the spiritual realm. Great scientists have collaborated with us: astrophysicists, quantum physicists, neurologists, molecular biologists, surgeons and doctors dealing with near-death experiences. Master Oh serves as the spiritual thread woven upon the needles of science. The film includes numerous testimonies from people who are very different from one another in terms of culture, race, nationality, socio-economic status. Their commonality lies in the ability of the mind to transform people and the compatibility between scientific rationalism and mysticism.
The Dalai Lama has said that the more science advances, the more robust our mystical beliefs become.
