Deloitte to sponsor hundreds of students in developing cyber-security expertise
Qufaro online CyberEPQ Enrolment is now open
Deloitte is sponsoring the fees of hundreds of students for the 2017 Qufaro online CyberEPQ. Enrolment opens on 23 October 2017 and will continue until the end of November.
The online CyberEPQ is already opening doors into further study and careers in the cyber-security industry for the graduates of the first course which was launched last year. The CyberEPQ (Extended Project Qualification) is equivalent to an AS-level certificate awarded in UK schools, and is certified by City & Guilds. It counts for UCAS credits in university applications.
The CyberEPQ is a first step towards the opening of a National College of Cyber Security on Bletchley Park.

Built on National Occupation Standards, the only government-accepted definition of the cyber industry, the Qufaro online CyberEPQ course modules are wide-ranging, industry-relevant and constantly being enhanced and extended.
The course, delivered via the Moodle platform, includes modules on cyber language and research, security vulnerability testing, intrusion detection, digital forensics, security architecture, business resilience, security compliance and computing history. New modules for 2017 include cryptography and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The course also requires a written essay and a presentation.
The plans for the National College of Cyber Security, first announced in 2016. are proceeding apace and there are ambitions to open in 2019. The next vital step will be the government’s delayed announcement of next round of free school applications.
