It’s taken over 25 years to get this to the screen. Silence has become a passion for the director, Martin Scorsese. It has finally been made and is getting a very early 2017 release.
The release date does have the feel of “for the award season” as January 1 has always been quite a dead week. One to release films for the awards not for the box office. Only time will tell if I’m correct or not
