Elle, a provocative nineteen-year-old who returns home to rural Provence with her mother and sick father. Her arrival turns heads in the sleepy village where the male inhabitants are mesmerised by her looks. She soon finds a suitor in the naive Pin-Pon, moving into his mother’s house with him but soon a dark secret from her past emerges as the film reaches its shattering conclusion.
