Blackhat gets a new trailer

The next Pearl Harbor
A new trailer has escaped and is now spreading out around the net. That being the new one for the upcoming computer-crime thriller, Blackhat.
Our heroes at work
It does have a couple of screens full of code. I’m not sure what it is but I would be sure that a hacker wouldn’t put comments in his code like Test compile in C mode [ about 2:19 into the trailer ]. More specifically it looks like he’s staring meaningfully at the source code for a Windows Dynamic-Link Library of some sort. Anyone know which one? I would make a guess at one that comes with an SDK or as an example on how to write DLLs. The code seems to be duplicated on both of the monitors!
Blackhat - viewing some source code
The big give-away is the function called DllEntryPoint. Sush! It’s a genius hacker that can destroy the world from his Apple mobile phone! Who knows why our hero is looking through Windows C code and not Java…

It could have been worse, it could have been the film’s wikipedia page as its source code. That’s ignoring the fact that he’s trying to reverse engineer the virus, or v_code.2. Whatever the heck that is.

Just ignore the facts that Hollywood doesn’t know anything about how computers should work but as long as it looks good on screen and the talent can spurt the technobabble well enough then that’s good enough for the director

Just hit play and sit back for the ride.

Set within the world of global cybercrime, Blackhat follows a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners as they hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.
