In the finale episode of “Defending Jacob,” the trial comes to an end, but with unexpected consequences. The sneak peek clip shows Andy (Evans) coming face-to-face with his father Billy (J.K. Simmons) after an unforgettable confession is revealed.

The series, based on the 2012 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by William Landay stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, J.K. Simmons, Cherry Jones, Betty Gabriel, Pablo Schreiber and Sakina Jaffrey. “Defending Jacob” is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content, and written and executive produced by Mark Bomback, who also serves as showrunner.
